Lawless Research has collaborated with HackerRank on their annual global developer survey since 2017. The most recent HackerRank 2020 Developer Skills Report identified compelling insights from more than 160,000 developers into the world of coding that established thought leadership and garnered substantial press coverage.

ServiceNow wanted to launch Workflow Quarterly a journal dedicated to publishing original research and enterprise journalism. For the first issue, ServiceNow needed an in-depth look at how knowledge workers were automating their workflows. Using insights that Lawless Research drew from more than 6,000 knowledge workers in 12 countries and 800 IT workers, ServiceNow was able to demonstrate the business value of digitizing workflows and how to overcome the challenges of automating complex processes.

Twilio wanted to demonstrate thought leadership around best practices for brands in communicating with consumers. Among the key findings of Consumer Engagement Best Practices, Lawless Research discovered that consumers vastly prefer email as the main mode of communication between them and a business—83% said so, in fact—but texts are more than twice as popular as email when receiving urgent communications from businesses. The survey results were featured in prominent publications; and Twilio was able to enhance its reputation with existing and potential customers.
